As most of you know, we have been lending our image and time of late to help with the fight for basic equal rights in Colorado. Speaking at the rally, testifying in the State House, and all the organizing and emotional energy that takes has been an adventure to say the least. We are grateful to One Colorado and all the legislators (especially Minority House Leader Mark Ferrandino, and Senator Pat Steadman). Courage was shown by Republican Representative BJ Nikkel who broke with her party to vote in favor of civil unions, and we are appreciative of all the Democrats and Republicans who said they would have passed the bill in the House, had it been allowed to get to a vote. What follows is a scrapbook of sorts of our involvement in this saga. As everyone says, it's not a matter of if but rather when.
